I Was Late Picking Them Up, and So...

...we went here.

With Miss Kitty and her Daddy-O.
  • Aliza: raspberry lemonade and a Size Large pumpkin cupcake with cinnamon and cream cheese icing
  • Ander: sweetened mint iced tea and warm bread pudding ("I don't even know what that is, but it sounds awesome," he said. And it was.)
  • Miss Kitty: sweetened mint iced tea and pumpkin pie with whipped cream
The grown-ups had coffee.

Decorating Tutu's "Children's Tree"

It's the "Children's Tree"* because it's mostly decorated with toys and unbreakable ornaments.

Ander and Zaza like to hang 'friends' near each other. Sometimes very, very near each other. Thus, clowns with clowns, giraffes with giraffes, robots with robots.

It should be noted that Grandad has c-a-r-e-f-u-l-l-y placed that very same angel atop forty or so trees by now. (There is almost always a lively, um, discussion about her angle.)

What A&A will likely remember about this day is the epic early-Christmas shopping spree on which they went with Tutu and Grandad.

That, and the milkshakes at Ruby's.

*There is usually also a "Dining Room Tree" (covered with blown glass fruits and vegetables), and a "Main Tree" in the living room. But this year Tutu and Grandad will be spending Christmas in Belgium with Uncle Alan and Auntie 'Cole and their Boys, and Tutu is reining herself in, only scratching the surface of her vast and intricately-organized Christmas decorating trove.

Gingerfest 2010

This lasted hours this year.

We didn't even bother to ice them.
