Ten Years of Parallel Adventures

We'll be adventuring with the lady in the top photo and her three girls over the weekend, and then all of us will be heading down to San Diego for the sort of magical convergence we haven't managed to pull off in years: six mamas, thirteen children, a slew of proud grandparent-hosts, and a handful of brave husbands...

There are Plans!
There will be daily Outings!
(There are Excel spreadsheets, people!)
There will be ice cream!
There will be LOTS of coffee!

And so, we shall be Adventuring off-line for the next 10 days or so...

We Were Up and Out and Walking the Reservoir by 8:30

Sadly, Parks and Rec must have cut the swings down...
A&A had Orange Honey French Toast at Auntie Em's.
Ander finally picked up the sock monkey he has had on hold at Grow Kid Grow.
(He paid for "Triclops" with his own money.)

This Morning (Which Stretched into the Afternoon Somehow)

There was dancing in the kitchen.
There was a breakfast experiment involving bread and maple syrup.
Ander asked me upon which "fiery bit" he should place the frying pan.
(It may very well be time to teach him to use the stove.)
We spent a lot of time trying to get this to work,
but when it did (after I shut down all other programs),
it was a-may-zing, and very much worth the wait.

After the Pool, Before Dinner with the Swiss Family Not-Robinson (Fueling Up for the Long Drive to and from Glendale to Return the Lovely Miss Anni to Her Mama)

After an hour and a half of swimming, they were a bit floppy.
We parked across the street at Blick (where we picked up ink for tomorrow's art experiment).
These ice cream sandwiches -- Ander got the Coffee-Toffee --
are the raison d'EAT at Milk:
homemade ice cream sandwiched between two oversized french macarons...
Aliza opted for two scoops of Banana Dulce de Leche.

They ALL fell asleep in the car, even with this blaring on the stereo...
